About Blooming Kindness
The "Blooming Kindness" mural is an interactive installation, in collaboration with Kindness.org, for IMMERSE 2021, a local event by The Creative City Project. This event showcases the local creative community by inviting performers and artists to perform and/or create creative experiences for the community to enjoy.
The purpose of this mural installation is to create a space for passersby to interact and share the kindness that they have experienced in their life, whether it was kindness they have given to others or a simple gesture from someone else, simply by writing on the wall. Within the graphics, or in the white space, this mural serves as a visual representation of the kindness that has spread throughout the community amidst the current circumstances and as a reminder to pay the good forward.
As festival goers are walking along the streets, several creative installations can be seen lining the sidewalk. Among them is the "Blooming Kindness" mural, as colorful and bright as the people of the community, testimonials of many are seen as each message holds a kind memory after kind memory. This showcase can be seen as a reminder of how we can affect the people in our lives and how we can spread love and kindness to those around us.
As the testimonials continue to appear after each day of the festival, we are left with a mural blooming with kindness.
